Due to poor weather on nights with auroras, only a few of the very few good displays could be admired. Actually, 19/20August was the only good night and even then I was late to observe the very peak of a very bright display. Here all images with water are from that night. A "surprise sunspot" #10930 rotated into view during the first week of Dec, and later it gave birth to four X-class explosions. One of them caused a very severe magnetic storm on the 16th, but due to poor weather only some faint rays could be seen through clouds. (Not posted here yet.)
